This action research determined the effects of the Science Quest Game on the academic performance of Grade 7 learners in Science in a public secondary school in Ozamiz City. The study employed a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design using a teacher-made test to assess learners’ performance before and after the intervention.
Findings revealed that learners’ performance improved from the Did Not Meet Expectations level to the Outstanding level after the implementation of the Science Quest Game. The results also showed a very highly significant difference between the learners’ pre-test and post-test scores.
The study concluded that the Science Quest Game was an effective instructional strategy in improving learners’ academic performance in Science through interactive and engaging learning activities. - Keywords
