In today's complex financial landscape, financial literacy and economic well-being have emerged as vital competencies, especially among the younger population. This study sought to determine the relationship between financial literacy and the financial security and well-being of Generation Z employees at a private higher education institution. Using a descriptive correlational research design, the researchers explored the Generation Z. employees' financial literacy in relation to their financial security and well-being. The study is conducted among 55 Generation Z employees working in a private higher education institution in Ozamiz City. The respondents of this study are the faculty members of the private higher education institution. Respondents are selected through random sampling based on the study's characteristics and objectives to identify the best-fit participants. The study used a researcher-made questionnaire to gather data.
This study also uses Mean and Standard deviation, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient as statistical tools. The findings indicate a strong relationship between Generation Z employees' financial literacy and financial security and well-being. A strong understanding of financial matters is more likely to help Generation Z employees achieve financial stability and improve overall well-being. Future researchers may include financial behavior as a mediator to determine whether an individual's behavior affects their financial stability and well-being. - Keywords
