- Abstract
- Ambulant vendors are included in the informal sector, which is a substantial part of the Philippines economy. This study examined the significant relationship between ambulant vendors' perceived accounting knowledge, management skills, and business performance. This study utilized the quantitative approach using a descriptive-correlational research design. Thirty (30) ambulant vendors were chosen through convenience sampling. The study took place in Ozamiz City. Ambulant Vendors Perceived Accounting Knowledge, Management Skills, and Business Performance Questionnaire were utilized as instruments in gathering the data. The data were analyzed using the Frequencies and Percentage, Weighted Mean and Standard Deviations, and Spearman's Rho Correlation Coefficient. The study's findings showed that most ambulant vendors are male and have been working for more than ten years and reached the high school level. The respondents' level of perceived accounting knowledge, management skills, and business performance of the ambulant vendors is high. The result also presents that business performance has a strong positive relationship with perceived accounting knowledge and has a perfect positive correlation with management skills. In conclusion, ambulant vendors utilize their accounting knowledge and management skills effectively, but there are still constructs that need to be improved. Ambulant vendors may acquire and develop their perceived accounting knowledge and management skills to enhance their business performance through training and seminars.
