- Abstract
- School canteens play a crucial role in academic institutions as affordable food are provided to student. This study aimed to evaluate the service quality of a selected school canteen in Misamis Occidental and its relationship to student satisfaction. It employed a descriptive-correlational research design, it surveyed 362 students who were chosen through random sampling. Service quality and student satisfaction were used as research instruments. Mean, Standard deviation, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient were used in analyzing the data. The results show that both service quality and students satisfaction are rated as rarely satisfied. While all the dimensions for service quality postulate a perfect positive correlation from one another. The positive correlation from one another findings revealed that there is a strong positive and highly significant relationship between service quality and student satisfaction. These results emphasize the need to enhance the canteen's physical environment to create a more inviting dining atmosphere. Addressing these areas of improvement could lead to increased student patronage and higher levels of satisfaction with canteen services.
