- Abstract
- Insurance plays a vital role in protecting individuals against various risks, yet many remain disengaged from insurance providers, resulting in significantly low insurance penetration rates. This study explored the significant relationship between working professionals insurance attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and engagement with life insurance. Using a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach, the data was collected from 384 professionals through a convenience sampling technique. Life Insurance Attitude, Perceived Behavioral Control, and Customer Insurance Engagement Questionnaires were used for data analysis. Statistical tools, such as mean and standard deviation and correlation analysis, were used to analyze the data and determine the relationship between variables. The result shows that working professionals exhibit a high level of attitudes towards insurance, possess strong perceived behavioral control, and demonstrate high engagement levels with life insurance. There is a significant positive correlation between insurance attitude and perceived behavioral control with engagement. The finding revealed that working professionals perceived life insurance as an essential investment as it prepares them in the long run. Thus, attitudes toward life insurance and enhancing perceived behavioral control can significantly increase engagement levels among working professionals. The researchers recommend investigating the role of digital platforms online resources in shaping working professionals attitudes and perceived behavioral control towards life insurance to understand the dynamis of insurance engagement better
