- Abstract
- Everyone desires financial stability and a comfortable lifestyle by earning income beyond their regular employment. This, study explored the significant relationship between working professionals' money attitude and personality traits toward their investment behavior. The study utilized the descriptive-correlational research design. The study took place in Ozamiz City. There were 382 working professionals as respondents pf the study who were chosen through convenience sampling technique. Money Attitudes, Personality Traits and Investment Behavior Questionnaires were used as instrument of the study. Mean, Standard Deviation, Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Regression Analysis were used as statistical tools for data analyses. Results revealed that working professionals demonstrate a high level of money attitudes and personality traits. Their level of investment behavior is also high. Additionally, both money attitudes and personality traits have a moderate but highly significant correlation with investment behavior among working professionals. The overall personality traits scale showed a marginally significant positive influence. However, money attitudes influenced investment behavior. The findings reveal that professionals are proficient in managing their finances well. However, they only viewed investment behavior as highly perceivable, whereas, one's personality behavior greatly affect their investment behavior. Thus, it can be inferred that working professionals view investment decisions as a rational approach for financial freedom in the future. In this vein, working professionals may consider investments that suit their needs.
