As digital tools increasingly influence educational practices, their adoption has
become essential for fostering learner engagement and improving teaching performance.
This study examined the relationships among technology integration, teachers' teaching
performance, and learners' engagement. It explored teachers' experiences in enhancing
students' engagement through technology integration in selected private schools in Ozamiz
City during the SY 2025-2026. The quantitative study used a descriptive-correlational
design. Data were collected from teachers in Basic Education, selected through simple
random sampling, using validated researcher-made questionnaires, and analyzed using
Means, Standard Deviations, and Spearman's Rho. Findings revealed that teachers
demonstrated a very great extent of technology integration across key domains, while
teaching performance was excellent and learners' engagement was very high. Frequency
of technology use was significantly influential to teaching performance across all domains,
while access and support systems were significantly influential to assessment practices.
Technology integration were influential to cognitive engagement but not to behavioral and
emotional engagement. The qualitative study employed a phenomenological design,
utilizing semi-structured interviews with the teachers selected through purposive sampling.
Data were analyzed using Colaizzi's Seven-Step Method to identify significant statements,
formulate meanings, and generate thematic clusters. The findings revealed the following
main themes: enabling teaching through technology integration; transforming instruction
and classroom routines through technology; experiencing increased learner engagement
and participation through technology; navigating constraints through adaptive teaching
strategies; and strengthening teacher capacity and supportive learning environments for effective technology integration. Technology integration enhances both teaching
performance and learner engagement when supported by teacher competence and systemic
support. It is recommended that teachers undergo continuous training, while school heads
and administrators enhance infrastructure and provide sustained institutional support to
ensure the effective and meaningful integration of technology in Basic Education. - Keywords
