This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Interactive Word Wall in
improving the Filipino vocabulary knowledge and Engagement of Grade 9 students at a
selected public secondary school in Ozamiz City during the School Year 2025–2026. A
classroom-based action research design using a single-group pretest–posttest approach
was employed among thirty-eight (38) Grade 9 students selected through purposive
sampling. Data were collected using a researcher-made vocabulary assessment test and a
student engagement questionnaire validated by language experts and tested for reliability
through Cronbach's alpha. Mean, standard deviation, and paired t-test through JAMOVI
were used to analyze the data. Findings revealed significant improvements in students' vocabulary knowledge, Engagement, participation, and motivation after implementing
the Interactive Word Wall. Statistical analysis showed a highly significant difference
between the pretest and posttest results. The study concluded that the Interactive Word
Wall is an effective instructional strategy in enhancing Filipino vocabulary learning
among Grade 9 students. - Keywords
