In today's globalized world, fueled by a hunger for diverse flavors and experiences, the restaurant industry has exploded globally, transforming itself into a dynamic hub of culinary delights. This study examined the level of work – related stress as perceived among fast food chain service crews and its impact toward job satisfaction and performance. A quantitative descriptive approach was utilized to determine fast-food workers' job satisfaction, performance, and stress, specifically in Ozamiz City, Philippines. A random sampling of 183 fast-food servers was utilized using complete standardized surveys. Statistical techniques such as regression, Pearson correlation, mean, and standard deviation were utilized to analyze and interpret the gathered data.
In this study, a research tool called "Perceived Work-Related Stress of Selected Fast-food Chain Crews: Its Impact Toward Job Satisfaction and Performance" was employed. The findings of this study revealed a strong positive correlation and a noteworthy association between work-related stress and job satisfaction, indicating a positive and significant impact of work-related stress.
Furthermore, it is crucial for organizations to acknowledge the widespread prevalence of work-related stress among employees in fast-food chains. It becomes imperative for employers to establish effective programs aimed at reducing stress levels. Gaining insights into these factors can help strengthen positive aspects and address areas that require improvement. Organizations should develop customized solutions that recognize the complex relationship between work-related stress and job satisfaction, considering their positive correlation. By recognizing the positive impact of work-related stress on job satisfaction and performance, companies should adopt a comprehensive approach to promoting employee well-being. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the intricate connections between stress, performance, and contentment, organizations should consistently assess employee sentiments through surveys, feedback mechanisms, and regular evaluations. - Keywords
