- Abstract
- Blended Learning is a learning modality that is a combination of eLearning (online class sessions and face-to-face class sessions. The learning problem that already existed before the pandemic is anticipated to get worse with school closures, with children who are most susceptible suffering the most. This study assesses health adjustment and academic performance levels in blended learning classes for third-year students in one of Misamis Occidental's Higher Education Institutions. A descriptive correlational survey method of research was utilized in the conduct of this study. The researchers gathered 95 respondents, selected through simple random sampling, and asked them to answer two sets of questionnaires. Blended learning improved physical, psychological, and social health during the pandemic, but also caused headaches, back pain, drowsiness, and eye problems. The study identified theoretical competence in learners' academic performance in four courses. Results showed that 53.69% of participants had a grade between 2.01-2.50. Researchers found a significant relationship between participants' academic performance and physical health, but no significant relationship between learners' psychological and social health. Based on the subsequent findings and conclusions, it is recommended that more research like this should be conducted, including more respondents to participate in the data-gathering procedure to gather more data. Thus, it can be said that blended learning could be a great form of learning modality to be used for the delivery of instruction.
