- Abstract
- Caring behaviors are an important tool in providing quality care and services to patients. Its impact on patient satisfaction is a field where studies are being developed each year from different places, all with the single goal of knowing what is best for the patient. The study explored the relationship between the Caring Behaviors of Radiologic Technologists and Patient Satisfaction conducted in selected private hospitals within Ozamiz City. In this study, a quantitative approach was utilized using a descriptive-correlational design. There was a total of 100 respondents, who were patients from two (2) private hospitals in Ozamiz City. They were chosen based on the convenience sampling technique. Data was gathered through a validated researcher-made questionnaire, which was made of two parts: one for identifying whether caring behaviors were exhibited by radiologic technologists, and the other measure Patient Satisfaction. For data interpretation, mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient were applied. The results showed that radiologic technologists exhibited caring behavior during their interaction with the patients. Patient Satisfaction revealed that patients were very satisfied with their experience in the radiology department. However, it revealed that there is no significant relationship between the caring behaviors of Radiologic Technologists and patient satisfaction. It concluded that showing or exhibiting caring behaviors during interaction with patients does not affect patient satisfaction. Researchers recommend that further studies be implemented on other factors that may have influenced patient satisfaction.
