- Abstract
- Higher education faced considerable difficulties as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic's disruption of regular university teaching and learning. The abrupt change and shifting of learning from the traditional face-to-face learning to online learning seems to took a toll on the students. The purpose of this study was to identify the respondents' level of emotional stress and coping mechanisms and how they affected the respondents' academic performance. The study was conducted among third year radiologic technology students. A researcher-made questionnaires were distributed to the respondents. The results indicated that the level of emotional stress the respondents' experience were high, their coping mechanisms were good, and their academic performance were exemplary. In conclusion, the respondents' level of emotional stress has no significant relationship with their academic performance on online learning and coping mechanisms and academic performance has also showed no significant relationship.
