Nursing students face significant stress due to academic and clinical demands, often leading to burnout that adversely affects their psychological perspective and academic performance. This study explores the link between burnout, psychological perspective, and academic performance among nursing students in Ozamiz City, highlighting the significant stress they face due to academic and clinical demands. The aim is to develop a stress management program to address this issue. This study investigates the impact of burnout on nursing students' academic performance and psychological perspective, emphasizing the need for personalized stress management programs in educational institutions, using Maslach's Burnout Theory and Sister Callista Roy's Adaptation model. The study utilized a quantitative descriptive- correlational research design to investigate the correlation between burnout, psychological perspective, and academic performance among 193 nursing students, which were identified using a stratified random sampling method, confirming the validity and reliability of the instruments through pilot testing. Burnout among nursing students is a significant issue, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. A negative correlation was found between burnout and academic performance, while a positive relationship was found between psychological perspective and academic performance. A comprehensive plan is necessary to address the psychological perspective and academic performance, and burnout among nursing students. The study suggests that educational institutions should implement stress management programs that foster supportive environments and resources for nursing students which would enhance students' perspective and academic success, thereby preparing them for professional excellence.
